In 2020, at a time when communities across the country were searching for ways to stay connected and support one another, an idea took shape in Alger County—one rooted in service, gratitude, and community pride.

The team at Pictured Rocks Golf Course approached Arland Brock with a simple but powerful mission:

“Let’s create something that gives back to the veterans who gave everything.”

What started as a single conversation quickly turned into a shared vision—bringing the community together

through a golf outing with purpose. An Outing Built on Purpose!

The goal was clear from day one:
To raise meaningful support for four cornerstone veteran organizations:

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)

American Legion

Vietnam Veterans of America

Marine Corps League

But it became more than just a fundraiser.

It became a movement.
